One of the most significant sites in the city, Se de Braga is renowned for its artistic contributions and historical importance. Though the original structure was built in the 12th century, the cathedral has been greatly changed since. Today, you will see the church's combination of Romanesque, Gothic, Manueline, and Baroque styles. View the main chapel of the apse, built by architect Joao de Castilho in 1509, as well as the striking towers and the Madonna statue, which was created in the early 1500s as well. Step inside, walk through the entrance gallery, take in the cathedral's gorgeous interiors, and pay a visit to the Cathedral Treasure, a museum of precious, sacred art. With our custom trip planner, Braga attractions like Se de Braga can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

Great outdoor view but service from the front door man is unacceptable. When I said I would come back after lunch, he answered “don’t go for lunch and eat, you are already fat”! What a completely terrible experience - this man should be fired. (Was at the door at 12:20 - will lodge an official complaint).

What a gem of a find. Yes you have to pay to enter but monies I am sure go to the upkeep of the church. The ticket allows you to see the cathedral and the amazing housing for the organ was completely insane! The museum was good and had some amazing religious objects to look at close up. Well worth the entrance fee.
