Vila Vella (Old Town), Tossa de Mar

The only example of a fortified medieval town still standing on the Catalan coast, Vila Vella (Old Town) is full of narrow, cobbled streets. Inside its stone walls, discover a medieval hospital, remnants of a Gothic church that appear to have been built upon an earlier Romanesque church, and the municipal museum. Walk up to its highest point, where the lighthouse stands, and appreciate the broad views of the town and coast.
