Monte Verde — 2 nights

Perched high up in the Mantiqueira Mountains at 1,550 m (5,085 ft) above sea level, the small town of Monte Verde attracts visitors looking to escape Brazil's tropical heat.
Take a break from the city and head to Pedra Partida and Trilha do Plato. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Parque Municipal Cachoeira do Salto and Spas.
