Create an itinerary including Kensington Gardens
Take respite from the bustling city in one of the capital’s eight Royal Parks. William III purchased the area in 1689 to be made into the private gardens of Kensington Palace; the asthmatic King enjoyed its tranquility and salubrious air. Today, Kensington Gardens serve as a peaceful refuge for all people living in, working in, or visiting Central London. Stroll through the avenues of trees and ornamental flower beds, pop into the Serpentine Gallery, and take in some of the Gardens’ most famous landmarks including the Albert Memorial, Peter Pan Statue, and the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Playground. Before you head to London, plan trip itinerary details with our user-friendly London trip itinerary builder app, to make sure you see all that London has to offer, including Kensington Gardens.

  • Impossible to see it all at once. The gardens are free to enter and appreciate. Stop by the the Italian Gardens a present from Prince Albert to Queen Victoria. Lots of ducks and squirrels.

  • Lovely, massive park, with a pond, a wide variety of flowers and trees, and many bird species. Great for a stroll, a jog, a picnic, playing with your pup... Awesome park indeed!

  • It's so huge, it feels like it will take 2 days to cover the entire garden, may be I am exaggerating a little bit. It's worth a visit. Recommended to get a cycle or something so that you can quickly check out the entire area.
  • Very popular and well maintained park with a separate children's adventure playground. Good variety of ducks, geese and swans in the Round Pond.My only gripe is that I wish there were more benches to watch the birds from. You can also see lots of ring necked parakeets which will feed from your hand in one area.
