Swim with bottlenose dolphins at Discovery Cove, a theme park that provides a more relaxing experience than the nearby mammoth entertainment complexes. You can interact with exotic birds in the free-flight aviary or explore the tranquil world of private beaches and heated outdoor pools. The park also contains a coral reef, where you can use the provided equipment to snorkel with thousands of tropical fish. To see the park's highlights quickly, take a boat ride down a tropical river running through the aviary and past sandy beaches, waterfalls, and rainforests. The park only admits a limited number of guests each day, so make your reservations well in advance. We had a perfect day today. We were nervous about it being too cold. It was 37 degrees when we arrived at 7:00am. There were heaters to keep everyone warm and locker rooms etc. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable, recommending how to best spend our day and stay warm. As an animal lover, I was mostly concerned about how the dolphins were cared for and how much space they had. I was pleasantly surprised that the groups were kept small and the dolphins were healthy and well cared for including plenty of room. The experience was easy for all (kids, grandparents) and quick and the trainers were flexible with the dolphins. Two fun pools with additional warm water options. I am cold all of the time and this was manageable and wetsuits helped immensely. The ray reef was large and relaxing. I will be back. My only mistake is I forgot to bring water shoes. Recommend them for sure.

This place is absolutely beautiful. We swam with the dolphins and it was a priceless moment with my family. The staff was very nice and patient with us during the dolphin swim. I have a 6 year old and the staff member had the dolphin swim in more shallow water for her. They answered all of our questions and the dolphins was so friendly. The river was nice and relaxing to float down, but there are some drop offs that reach 8 feet. One pool you could swim around with fish and sting rays. The breakfast and lunch was very good as well. They had a great selection. They provide life jackets, floating noodles, snorkeling gear, sunscreen, drinks, and snacks. The only things I didn't care for was that, before the dolphin swim, they tell you to take off all your jewelry. I think that should be told when you are getting your passes for the day because we missed half of the presentation before the dolphin swim to go put our jewelry in the locker. Also, I purchased the pictures from the dolphin swim and we are missing photos of a person from our group.
